10. Elle Macpherson – $45 Million

Elle Macpherson is an Australian model, TV host and performer. She is notable for her record five cover appearances for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She is the author, essential model, and innovative executive for a progression of business endeavors, including Elle Macpherson Intimates and The Body. She has been the host of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model and has a total assets of $45 million.

9. Naomi Campbell – $48 Million

Naomi Elaine Campbell is an English model and actress. Recruited at the age of 15, she established herself among the top three most recognizable and in-demand models of the late 1980s and the 1990s, and was one of six models of her generation declared supermodels by the fashion industry.

In addition to her modeling career, Campbell has embarked on other ventures, which include an R&B-pop studio album and several acting appearances in film and television, such as the modeling competition reality show The Face and its international offshoots. Campbell is also involved in charity work for various causes.  She has a total assets of $48 million.

Adriana Lima is a Brazilian supermodel and actress, best known as a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 1999 (being their longest-running model and named “the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel” in 2017), as a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics since 2003 and for her Super Bowl and Kia Motors commercials.  At the age of 15, Lima won Ford’s “Supermodel of Brazil” competition, and took second place the following year in the Ford “Supermodel of the World” competition before signing with Elite Model Management in New York City. Lima is reported to be worth a cool $65 million.

7. Heidi Klum – $70 Million

Heidi Klum  is a German-American supermodel, television personality, businesswoman, fashion designer, singer, television producer, author, and actress. She appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and in 1999 became the first German model to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel.  Following a successful modeling career, Klum became the host and a judge of Germany’s Next Top Model and the reality show Project Runway which earned her an Emmy nomination in 2008 and a win in 2013 for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program (shared with co-host Tim Gunn).

Klum has worked as a spokesmodel for Dannon and H&M, and has appeared in numerous commercials for McDonald’s, Volkswagen and many others. In 2009, Klum became Barbie’s official ambassador on Barbie’s 50th anniversary. As an occasional actress, she had supporting roles in movies including Blow Dry (2001), Ella Enchanted (2004), and made cameo appearances in The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and Perfect Stranger (2007). Arriving at the end of the “supermodel era”, Kate Moss rose to fame in the early 1990s as part of the “heroin-chic” fashion trend. Her collaborations with Calvin Klein brought her to fashion icon status. She is known for her waifish figure, and role in size zero fashion. She received an award at the 2013 British Fashion Awards to acknowledge her contribution to fashion over 25 years.

Moss is also a contributing fashion editor for British Vogue.  Moss has had her own clothing and perfume lines and has been involved in several musical projects with groups including Oasis, Primal Scream, and Babyshambles. Christie Brinkley  is an American model and actress. Brinkley gained worldwide fame beginning in the late 1970s with three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers through 1981. She spent twenty five years as the face of CoverGirl (the longest running cosmetics contract of any model in history), has appeared on over 500 magazine covers, and has signed contracts with major brands—both fashion and non-fashion.

Brinkley went on to work as an actress, illustrator, television personality, photographer, writer, designer, and activist for human and animal rights and the environment.  With a career spanning more than three decades, magazines such as Allure and Men’s Health have named Brinkley one of the most attractive women of all time.  Her financial holdings are worth and estimated $80 Million.

4. Tyra Banks – $90 Million

Tyra Lynne Banks  is an American television personality, producer, businesswoman, actress, author, former model and occasional singer. Born in Inglewood, California, she began her career as a model at age 15, and was the first African American woman to be featured on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, on which she appeared twice. She was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005. By the early 2000s, Banks was one of the world’s top-earning models.  Banks began acting on television in 1993 on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and made her film debut in Higher Learning in 1995. She had major roles such as Eve in Disney Channel’s Life-Size and Zoe in the box office hit Coyote Ugly.

In 2003, Banks created and began presenting the long-running reality television series America’s Next Top Model, which she executive produced and presented for the first twenty-two seasons until the series’ cancellation in October 2015. Banks was the co-creator of True Beauty, and had her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, which aired on The CW for five seasons and won two Daytime Emmy awards for Outstanding Talk Show Informative.  In 2017, Banks replaced Nick Cannon as host of America’s Got Talent for its 12th season. In 2010, she published a young adult novel titled Modelland, based on her life as a model which topped The New York Times Best Seller list in 2011. Banks is one of four African Americans and seven women to have repeatedly ranked among the world’s most influential people by TIME magazine. Tyra is reported to be worth over $90 million.

Cindy Crawford is an American model and businesswoman. Crawford was discovered when she was 16 years old while working in an Illinois corn field. She received enough positive feedback that by age 17 she entered Elite Model Management’s Look of the Year and won runner-up. The Elite Modeling Agency in Chicago then started to represent her. She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1984 as Valedictorian, and attended Northwestern University for one semester studying chemical engineering, then dropped out to pursue her modeling career full-time. In 1986, she moved to New York, where she was signed with Elite New York modeling agency. She was a wildly successful model in the late 1980s and 1990s and became one of the world’s most recognizable celebrities.

Cindy’s post modeling career has been arguably much more lucrative than her highly-successful career as a supermodel.  She is the creator of a line of beauty products called “Meaningful Beauty” in partnership with the direct response marketer Guthy-Renker, as well as a line of home furnishings for J.C. Penney called “Cindy Crawford Home Collection”.  Crawford is one of the five original women to be called supermodels. Gisele Bundchen originally intended to pursue a career as a professional volleyball player. Kathy Ireland is an American former model, actress, entrepreneur and designer.  Ireland was a supermodel in the 1980s and 1990s, best known for appearing in 13 consecutive Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues.  Ireland acquired her wealth through a successful modeling career upon which she capitalized by creating a brand product marketing company called Kathy Ireland Worldwide.  Kathy first tasted entrepreneurial success outside of modeling in 1993 when she released her own line of socks for the retailer Kmart. Kathy’s socks were a smash sales hit for Kmart so they followed up with an entire clothing line under her name. Not content to merely be licensing her name, Kathy soon founded her own marketing firm “Kathy Ireland Worldwide” which has become a truly incredible success story. Unlike her deal with Kmart where she was merely loaning her name, Kathy is the majority owner and CEO of Kathy Ireland Worldwide (KIWW) which now markets home goods products from dozens of companies in a wide range of categories. Once Ireland’s Kmart contract expired, KIWW launched its own products which are now sold at over 60,000 worldwide locations in 15 countries. In 2005 alone, KIWW pulled in nearly $1.5 billion in sales.
